A DATE WITH
SILVEROID
n 14 December, the students of the school got a chance to meet Silveroid, our home-
Ogrown robot at an event titled A Date with Silveroid, also marking the inauguration
of the school AI lab. The AI lab was inaugurated by Fr Augustine K Mathew, our Manager
and Fr Mathew Kalapurayil, our Principal delivered the Presidential Address. Mr Yasar
Kuthub, author and IT consultant performed the launching of Silveroid, the Silver Hills
made robot. The robot has been designed by three students of Class XI - Rithvik K P Nair,
whose brainchild it was, along with Niranjan V S and Allen Shibu under the guidance of
Mr Vijith P our Computer Science faculty. The robot strode on to the stage, shook hands
with people and spoke to the audience using a pre-set code, much to the delight of the
students. Two smaller prototypes of mechanical gadgets designed by students of Classes VI,
VII and VIII were also presented at the event.
