Teachers' Day Celebrations 2024 at Silver Hills Public School, Kozhikode

Silver Hills Public School celebrated Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm on 5th September 2024. The event commenced with a solemn prayer, setting a tone of gratitude and respect for educators.

The official meeting was blessed by Father Mathew Kalappurayil CMI, Principal of SHPS, who extended a warm welcome to all present. Fr Augustine K Mathew CMI, Manager of Silver Hills Institutions, delivered the Presidential Address, expressing the importance of the teaching profession in shaping future generations. The Chief Guest, Dr Sajitha MA, Associate Professor in the English Department at the University of Calicut, delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the pivotal role of teachers in society.

Felicitations were offered by Mr Madhusoodanan K, PTA President, Dr Jeslin V James, KG PTA President, Ms Aditi Chatterjee, Academic Coordinator, and Ms Tessa John, Head Girl of the school.

A special highlight of the event was the Honouring of Teachers, where the Chief Guest led the presentation of mementos to the staff members, recognizing their dedication and service. Following this, ‘Convergence', the school magazine for 2020-2022, was officially released by the Chief Guest.

As a gesture of honouring, Appreciation Awards (sponsored by Bank of Baroda) were presented to the victorious students for their achievements. Additionally, Ms Sajitha Praveen, senior faculty member, was recognized for her exemplary performance.

The formal program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr KC Shaijal, Staff Secretary.

The celebrations continued with vibrant cultural programs, showcasing the talents of students. The event was marked by the enthusiastic participation of students, staff, and parents, making it a memorable and joyous occasion. As part of the program, a special lunch for the staff, arranged by the SHPS PTA, was also followed.
