Kochi: Silver Hills Public School Kozhikode has been awarded the Best School award, and ithe school's Principal, Rev. Father Mathew Kalapurayil CMI, has received the Best Principal award at the Global Malayalee Festival held in Kochi on January 1 and 2. The school's excellence in academic, cultural, and artistic fields earned it these prestigious awards.
The award committee praised Principal Rev. Father Mathew Kalapurayil's expertise and leadership in guiding the school to achieve excellence in CBSE board exams and state-level cultural events. This double honor is a significant milestone for Silver Hills Public School, as the school is celebrating 25th anniversary this year.
The Global Malayalee Festival also featured a global Malayalee conference, trade and investment meet, and technology summit, with participation from foreign business representatives, central and state ministers, and opposition leaders. Over 800 delegates from 53 countries attended the two-day event, organized by the Malayalee Festival Federation (MFF), an NGO registered under the Union Government's NITI Aayog.
Senior diplomat T P Srinivasan and Confederation of Indian Industries - Kochi Chairman KKM Kutti are the chief patrons of MFF, while Andrew Pappachan is the CEO and Abdulla Manjeri is the Managing Director. The festival's global ambassadors include M A Baby, Dr. Manal Refai Al Mutairi, Najeeb Kanthapuram MLA, and Dr. Arathi Krishna (Karnataka MLC), among others.
