Onam 2021 was celebrated with fervour and colour on Wednesday, 18 August at Silver Hills Public School.
The programs included joint meeting of staff and PTA members, birthday wishes, Onasadya and Pookkalam. Meetings were held in different sessions to maintain pandemic protocol.
Principal Fr John Mannarathara inaugurated the function. In his address he conveyed his greetings to everyone and congratulated the staff for achieving very good results in the public exams. He spoke about the importance of Onam values of giving, helping and accommodating others. He also explained in detail the upcoming academic projects, including the novel ideas of YouTube classes and Video Magazines.
School Administrator Fr Augustine, in his speech, gave an interesting idea on how Onasadya is reflecting the ups and downs of life.
The newly elected PTA office bearers including Mr Muraleedharan, Mr Madhusudhanan, Mrs Anitha and the last year’s pta president Mr George, Mr Sachin, Mrs Anagha thanked the management and appreciated the teachers.
Academic Coordinators including Ms Aditi Chatterjee, Ms Biji Suresh, Ms Sally Cedric and Ms Sajitha P C also spoke on the occasion.
Staff secretaries Ms Geetha Nair compered and welcomed the gathering; Ms Deepa P proposed birthday appreciations and K C Shaijal delivered the Onam message.
