Little Steps to Big Dreams: SHPS Kindergarten Graduation Concludes

The Silver Hills Public School Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony was a poignant and jubilant celebration, marking the first academic milestone of the young graduates. Held on the morning of March 29, 2025, in the school auditorium, the event was a vibrant tapestry of joy, pride, and emotions, as the little ones transitioned from early learning to formal schooling.

The atmosphere was electric with enthusiasm as parents, grandparents, teachers, and well-wishers gathered to witness this significant moment in their children's lives. The program commenced with an elegant procession of the young graduates, resplendent in their graduation attire, escorted by esteemed guests from the library corridor to the stage.

Their excitement was palpable as they proudly marched forward, symbolizing their first step toward a bright future. Upon reaching the stage, they presented thoughtful symbolic gifts to Principal Fr. Mathew Kalappurayil CMI and Manager Fr. Augustine K Mathew CMI, including a luminated lamp, a book, and saplings, each representing the light of knowledge, wisdom, and growth.

The event officially began with a soul-stirring prayer song recited by the Kindergarten students, invoking blessings for their journey ahead.

Fr. Mathew Kalappurayil CMI, Principal of Silver Hills Public School, delivered the welcome speech, expressing his delight in witnessing this beautiful milestone. He emphasized the significance of the convocation, describing it as a day of pride for students, teachers, and parents alike, as the young learners prepared to take their next academic step with confidence and enthusiasm.

Fr. Augustine K Mathew CMI, Manager of Silver Hills Institutions, delivered the keynote and convocation address, inspiring all present with his profound words: "Education is not just about learning numbers and letters; it is about shaping young minds. The true aim of education is to nurture our students into becoming great human beings with high values and empathy. We take immense pride in Silver Hills Public School's commitment to upholding this noble goal in its true spirit." He extended a special appreciation to the dedicated teachers and 'aunties' who nurture and care for the children with patience and love, playing an invaluable role in their growth.

The felicitation speeches were delivered by Ms. Aditi Chatterjee, Academic Coordinator, along with KG Coordinators Ms. Usha Haridas and Ms. Archana Sampath. They commended the young graduates on their achievements and encouraged them to embrace learning with curiosity and enthusiasm as they stepped into the next phase of their academic journey.

A particularly touching moment was when the Kindergarten graduates themselves took the stage to share their reflections.
They recited verses from the holy texts—including the Gita, Quran, and Bible—emphasizing values of unity, love, and wisdom. Ace singer Nived Krishna captivated the audience with his recitation of a beautiful poem, adding a musical charm to the event.

Following this, Ms. Archana Sampath administered the Graduation Oath, a solemn and proud moment for the young graduates as they pledged to continue their learning journey with dedication and honesty. The senior students performed the Graduation Hymn, filling the hall with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

The highlight of the event was the distribution of graduation certificates by Principal Fr. Mathew Kalappurayil CMI and Manager Fr. Augustine K Mathew CMI. Receiving the graduation certificates, the testaments to their hard work and achievements, the young graduates stood beaming with pride.

Medals were distributed to the winners in the cultural competitions held earlier.
The formal ceremony was followed by wonderful variety entertainment programs by the incredibly talented KG stars.

The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Jeslin James, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a grand success. The proceedings were well-anchored by Ms. Oshin, techer in English, well-supported by little anchors from the KG section.

A special mention must be made of the presence of parents and grandparents, whose overwhelming joy and pride were evident throughout the ceremony.
The auditorium was filled with excitement, as families cheered on their little ones, capturing precious moments that will be cherished for years to come.

The Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony concluded on a jubilant note, celebrating not just academic progress but also the unwavering support of educators and families in shaping the future of these young learners.

As the tiny graduates stepped forward into the next chapter of their academic lives, they carried with them the love, wisdom, and encouragement of an entire community that believes in their limitless potential.
