India @ 75

The Independence day of India  reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new era. The struggle for freedom was a long and arduous one  that witnessed the sacrifices of many freedom fighters and laymen alike and we should cherish it with all our breath and being.


The  75 th Independence Day was celebrated in the school premises this year in strict adherence to the pandemic protocol. Fr John Mannarathara, the Principal hoisted the national flag  after which he addressed the small gathering. Ms Kabitha Mukhopadhyay, renowned artist and a faculty of the school delivered a special message on the occasion. Mr Murali, spoke on behalf of the PTA. The small function was made colourful  by the rendition of patriotic songs by selected students. Ms Beena Kattakayam , a senior faculty of the school proposed the vote of thanks.

The school also aired a dance performance by students, titled The Embrace of Freedom,in its official You Tube channel to mark the day.  Classes 1 to 12 held Independence Day celebrations in the virtual platform from 8am onwards.
