Environment Day, 5 June
Greening the Campus
The most onerous issue faced globally is the deterioration of the environment and its impact. World Environment Day was celebrated at Silver Hills Public School on 5 June. It spread the message of the importance of a green environment. Principal Fr. Mathew Kalapurayil CMI, and the students of Class XII planted saplings of the rose apple plant( sysygium samarangense), commonly called jambakka. Augustine K Mathew, Manager, Silver Hills Institutions, was also present during the occasion.
This was followed by a quiz in the audio-visual room for Class XII based on the theme of World Environment Day 2023, ie. #BeatPlasticPollution. Charts and posters were also prepared by the students of ClassesVII and VIII.
