All Kerala Basketball Tournament Concludes with Thrilling Finale

Kozhikode, January 15, 2026: Silver Hills Public School Kozhikode emerged victorious in the All Kerala Basketball Tournament, conducted by the institution as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations. The tournament, held on January 14-15, 2026 at the school's basketball court, witnessed thrilling matches featuring top teams from across Kerala and beyond.

The Silver Hills Public School team showcased exceptional skills, defeating AKM Public School Kottayam in a nail-biting final. Earlier, SHPS outshone Bhavans School Kozhikode in the quarterfinals and Sree Vidyalaya Palakkad in the semifinals. AKM Public School Kottayam reached the finals by beating Devagiri CMI Public School Kozhikode and Rajagiri Public School Eranakulam in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.

Pranav Sujith of Silver Hills Public School was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament. Additional Superintendent of Police, Kozhikode, Mr. Bijuraj P, graced the valedictory function as the chief guest, presenting trophies and cash awards to the champions and runners-up.

The tournament kicked off with a bang as Mr. Vaishakh SR, Captain of the Indian National Amputee Football Team, inaugurated the event, inspiring the audience with a beautiful speech, narrating his own brave and heroic life story. Prominent dignitaries, including Rev. Fr. Augustine K Mathew CMI, Manager, Silver Hills Group of Institutions, Rev. Fr. Mathew Kalapurayil CMI, Principal, Silver Hills Public School, Kozhikode, Mr. Jose Sebastian, President, Kozhikode District Basketball Association, Mr. Johnson Joseph, Secretary, Kozhikode District Basketball Association, Mr. Vijith P, Staff Secretary, Silver Hills Public School, Ms. Raji MT, HoD Physical Education Department, Silver Hills Public School, Mr. Manu Mathew, Convenor, Organising Committee, and Mr. Binu, PTA President, spoke on the formal ceremonies.

"The tournament's success is a testament to the unwavering support of our school community, staff, and parents," said Rev. Fr. Principal, congratulating Mr. Manu Mathew and Ms. Deepthi M, Head Coach and Asst. Coach, respectively, on their team's victory. The event was a fitting tribute to Silver Hills Public School's 25th anniversary celebrations.

Participating teams included Silver Hills Public School Kozhikode, Devagiri CMI Public School Kozhikode, Bhavans Vidyalaya Chevayur Kozhikode, Rajagiri Public School Eranakulam, Sree Vidyalaya Palakkad, AKM Public School Kottayam, and Morning Star English School, Gudallur, Tamil Nadu.
