A Joyful Celebration of New Beginnings for the Toddlers!

Kozhikode, June 4, 2025: Silver Hills Public School and the SHPS KG celebrated the Welcome Festival/Praveshanotsav of the Kindergarten and Class 1 with great enthusiasm and fervor, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for the tiny tots. The event, held at the school auditorium, was attended by students, parents, and staff. 

The program commenced with a traditional Guruvandanam prayer, followed by the Praveshanotsav song and dance. Ms. Geetha E.K., Staff Secretary, extended a warm welcome to the gathering.

Rev. Fr. Augustine K. Mathew CMI, Manager of Silver Hills Group of Institutions, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the importance of early childhood education and the role of parents and teachers in shaping young minds. He encouraged the parents to support the school's mission to provide a nurturing environment for the children.

Rev. Fr. Mathew Kalapurayil CMI, Principal of Silver Hills Public School, shared a heartfelt message, welcoming the new students and their parents to the Silver Hills family. He reiterated the school's commitment to providing a warm and inclusive environment for our students.

The inaugural address was delivered by Ms. Kabani, renowned theatre artist and faculty at SHPS, who stressed the significance of creativity and imagination in childhood development. The lamp-lighting ceremony was led by Mr. Vijesh K.V. and Ms. Kabani, symbolizing the ignition of knowledge and creativity.

Dr. Jeslin V. James, President of the KG PTA, and Ms. Usha Haridas, KG Coordinator, offered felicitations. Mahika Sushil and Nishta Manesh, students of Class 1 and UKG respectively, shared their reflections, showcasing their confidence and enthusiasm.



A special ceremony called Vidyarambam was held, where the representatives of the little ones wrote their first letters on the board, guided by their teachers, marking the commencement of their early childhood education. The event also featured wonderful theatre performances by Mr. Vijesh and Ms. Kabani, along with Mr. Kunjan Chelannur, which captivated the audience.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Archana Sambath, KG Coordinator. The Welcome Festival/Praveshanotsav was a testament to the school's commitment to providing a warm and inclusive environment for its students. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the tiny tots, and we wish them all the best as they embark on this exciting adventure.
