Faculty Improvement Program and Staff meeting
29,30 and 31 May.
As part of the Faculty Improvement Programs, the school organised a three-day workshop cum staff meeting on 29,30 and 31 May 2023.
The program was inaugurated by the Fr Augustine K Mathew CMI, Manager of Silver Hills institutions. In the inaugural speech he urged staff members to identify their real potential and work for the betterment of the students. Rev Fr Mathew Kalappurayil CMI, newly appointed Principal, presided over the function. He also led an important session stressing on academic development. He appealed to staff members to raise their productivity and industriousness into the maximum possible level. He poetically remarked that the invisible ingredient of love is inevitable in imparting quality education.
School Academic Coordinator Ms Aditi Chatterjee, in her address, elucidated the varied requirements of the twenty first century school education, as per the guidelines of the Board. Art integrated learning and projects were also explained in detail. Ms Chithra P, staff secretary and Ms Sajitha PC, section coordinator also spoke on the topic.
Mr Aditrath, an IT expert and resources person, lead another session, focusing on educational technology and modern day schooling. He gave a comprehensive idea of how to enhance classes with the support of advanced smart solutions.
Mr Subhash Chandran, renowned writer, Kendra Sahithya Akademi award winner and the editor of Mathrubhumi weekly, led another session. He stressed on the importance of constant self-analysis and updating. Dr Veena, an MA English rank holder turned police officer handled the final session. She gave thorough guidance to staff with regard to the criminal laws, keeping POSCO in focus. Fr John Mannarathara CMI, Principal, Silver Hills Higher Secondary School, and faculty members Ms Manjula, Ms Sinu Tara Cheriyan, Mr KC Shaijal and Praveen K Benny also spoke on the occasion.
