Legacy

Silver Hills Educational Institutions had a humble beginning in the year 1975. It was started at the initiative of Rev Fr. Jacob Caesarius CMI the then provincial of St Thomas Province, Kozhikode. The school started with just 70 pupils and 7 teachers in the premises of St. Thomas Mount, Marikunnu. As the number of students increased steadily the present location at Paroppady came to stay. Initially it followed the CBSE syllabus but later on the request of parents the school shifted to Kerala State syllabus in the year 1985. This original Silver Hills School blossomed into what is today renowned as Silver Hills Higher Secondary School.
The present Silver Hills Public School, with the CBSE syllabus came into existence in the year 2001. The same year the 5th and 6th standard were introduced to the already existing LP school under the able leadership of Rev.Fr. Chacko Illiparmbil. The school got affiliated to CBSE Board up to Secondary level in the year 2004 and in 2006 it was upgraded to Senior Secondary level. The Kindergarten section has been added to the Public School in the 2006. Presently the school has a strength of about 1500 students, 65 teachers and 20 supporting and office staff.
